About Heather M. Hofmann
I am a beloved daughter of Heavenly Parents with divine spiritual gifts!
I am a teacher by trade and a storyteller by nature. I love to learn and to impart what I learn to others, often teaching through stories and personal examples. With a Master’s Degree in Education, I have honed my craft by specifically focusing on accommodating for varied learning styles, backgrounds, abilities, experiences, and expertise.
On the health and wellness side of things, I have been a medical anomaly my whole life. I have been crippled twice in my young life, and have almost died on more than one occasion. For years, I sought help from Western medicine, but to no avail. No doctor has ever been able to figure me out. They ran every test in the book. They prescribed drugs that created much more havoc than the good they were intended to do. They tried surgeries right and left … literally. They tried everything they could possibly think of, but in the end, they would throw their hands in the air and suggest I go get a second opinion.
It wasn’t until I was in my mid-20’s, suffering from debilitating, crippling arthritic symptoms, that I finally threw my own hands in the air and sought help through alternative health practices. I tried an allergist. I found I was allergic to pretty much everything that grows. I tried a nutritionist. The diet I was put on made me feel worse than the cancer drug I had been on for my arthritic symptoms. Finally, out of desperation, I moved down south with all the other 80-year-old arthritic patients. It was there that I finally found some relief and healing.
In about 12 years of working with Dr. Timothy Francis, I learned that most of my physical issues were actually emotionally based. I made significant strides in the improvement of my health and well-being under his care.
When I moved to the Midwest, I wondered how I would fair without the aid of Dr. Francis. The answer was, “Not well.” Within six months, I was in adrenal failure due to stress and was crippled for the second time in my life, this time with sciatica and a drop foot. I knew better than to run to Western medicine because I knew the real root of the problem wasn’t physical. It was emotional. I knew it could be fixed; I just didn’t know how to do it … and neither did anyone else I knew around the Kansas City area. Before long, the hope I once had of traveling to Las Vegas to get treated (and fixed) by Dr. Francis, vanished when I heard he had been in a roll-over car accident. Upon hearing that news, I didn’t know if he would live, let alone practice again (a dreary prognosis that, I’m happy to say, has been contradicted). At the time, however, I had lost all hope that there was anyone alive on the planet that could help me. But I knew that Christ could. He is the Master Healer. He can heal anything! I knew that He could heal me. But instead of just praying for a miracle of healing, I chose to be more proactive. I asked Him to teach me how to heal myself. This He did. He brought one holistic healing method into my world, one at a time, just when I needed it and was ready for it. Reiki was the first modality. Next came The Emotion Code, EFT Tapping, and so many more.
I worked hard. I diligently learned what I needed to do to heal myself mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. I worked on myself every single day, sometimes multiple times per day, for months. I did everything I could possibly think of, and eight months after first learning Reiki, I was issued a clean bill of health from a chiropractor of the effects of my crippling sciatica and drop foot. No drugs. No surgeries.
It was so empowering to be given the knowledge, skills, and gifts to be able to heal myself, that I just couldn’t keep it to myself. I shared my newfound knowledge, skills and gifts with as many as would lend an ear and were open to it. I was completely content with sharing energy work with friends and family that first year, but shortly into the second year, the Lord unmistakably showed me the He had other plans for me, a path that would change life as I knew it. He directed me to start a business, Healing in Homes, teaching people about holistic health and energy work, and providing energy work sessions.
I have to admit that the prospect of starting a business was downright comical and utterly frightening all at the same time. There are a myriad of reasons why I shouldn’t, which I will not expound upon and elaborate here. There is only one reason I should do it, and that is because the Lord directed it. Once I finally quit hemming and hawing and digging my heels in and chose to turn my will and my life over to His guiding hand, I haven’t looked back. This is the new path. He has blessed me with divine spiritual gifts that I can use to bless others. He has also blessed me with the ability to thrive and to become self-reliant, not just in a health realm, but financially as well.
I have already learned a great deal, have been trained in several energy work modalities, and have several more on my radar. My real passion, however, is in teaching others what I know. I often reflect on the old adage about giving a man a fish or teaching him how to fish. I can most certainly provide an energy work session for someone, loosely equated to giving them a fish. But the greater gift is to empower them, teaching them how to do energy work for themselves and their family, essentially teaching them how to fish. I can do both, but I prefer to teach.
As a dear friend said, “Every home needs a healer!” With all the healing that needs to take place in the world, there is not enough of me to go around. The need for healing will always be present and will be in even greater demand the closer we get to the Second Coming of the Savior.
